What is ITIL®?

Becoming an ITIL Expert

The ITIL Qualification Scheme uses a credit system and the credit points allocated to each module are shown in the diagram below:

To become a certified ITIL Expert, you will have to accumulate a minimum of 22 credit points.

The ITIL Foundation module is mandatory. When you complete and pass the Foundation exam, you will earn 2 points.

Having acquired your ITIL Foundation certificate, you can proceed with ITIL Intermediate modules from the Lifecycle and/or Capability stream. We offer the following capability modules which will earn you 4 point each:

When you have accumulated at least 17 points, you can proceed to the final module:

On completing and passing the MALC exam you would have earned 22 points and will be awarded the ITIL Expert certification.
